TAMPA, FL, December 5, 2011 – Global door manufacturer Masonite® took honors in both interior and entry door categories in BUILDER magazine’s 2012 Brand Use Study. Conducted in collaboration with Readex Research and representing more than 84,000 builders and developers, the study queried respondents about brand familiarity, brand preference and use, and brand quality across 80 building product categories. An 80-year old company, Masonite has a long standing tradition of supporting builders and their customers.

Masonite was named the brand leader in the interior passage door category, ranking highest in the categories of brand familiarity, brands used within the last two years and brands used most frequently. The company was also recognized as one of the top three brands in the entry door categories of brands used within the last two years and brands used most frequently.

Builders have come to depend on Masonite for not only reliable, quality doors, but also innovative products. Even during the current slow building downturn, Masonite has continued to invest in new products and advancing production capabilities, including a recently announced next generation automated interior door production line in South Carolina.

In addition to naming brand leaders, the 2012 Brand Use Study also indicates trends in the building industry. Study findings show greater builder demand for green and sustainable products.
